From Barbie to Zombie

I bought a Barbie styling head at Goodwill a couple weeks ago. I finally got to work on it this past week.


For this project, I chose acrylic paints. I used a greenish-gray mixed with gray for the skin. I combined dark colors and a mustard yellow to transform the hair. I wanted the hair to look gross, but it actually looks like a glamour Barbie. Maybe Barbie can never look ugly. 

 
I also used a blood splatter spray all over, which was a lot of fun.

A Quick Little Story

 I wrote this story several years ago. It's fun and gruesome, and I hope you enjoy! The PSL Girls Chuck glared at the gaggle of girls waiting to order pumpkin spice lattes. They had been coming every day, wearing their Ugg boots and taking selfies with their cups, since August. In Texas .   They don’t care about the most important part of fall – Halloween. Chuck had tried making conversation with the girls as he swept floors or tidied up the milk and sugar counter. Infested!

 New post, but old project. Last year my granddaughter Piper and I played a trick on my husband Chris (Piper's "Pap") based on a picture I saw online. Here is the picture: And here is my Mock Monstrosity: Piper really got into the spirit of the prank: Piper is not only my granddaughter, but my partner in crime!
